Pastoral Care
The department of pastoral care exists to ensure that your spiritual needs are met and that you never have to face your challenges alone. This team of qualified ministers provide biblical counselling, home visitations, hospital visits, funeral and bereavement support, marriage counselling and guidance as well as prayers for the sick, home-communions and help with a wide range of issues. Just call our office to request pastoral support.

Counselling & Coaching
In addition to pastoral services, CLC has a team of qualified counsellors and life coaches who are able to offer free guidance on a range of issues including:

Youth Services
Our youth department exists to facilitate the holistic growth of teenagers in our community. This includes their spiritual, social, intellectual, economic and physical growth. Our team of dedicated youth workers manage a wide range of programmes, events and activities that allow young people to develop their natural gifts, feed their faith and support each other. Although this is an outreach to teenagers, if you look like one but don't quite fit the category, you are more than welcome to attend.

Our youth service takes place every Sunday at 2.00pm. This service is run completely by teenagers and allows them to express their faith in urban language and style. Guest speakers are often drafted in to share their story or expertise with the group. Our Youth department also manage football, basketball and netball teams. There is a dance group, music production team and drama group. Outings and residential retreats are also part of the programme.

Children's Church
We believe that children are the future and that's why we are committed to our Children's Church Outreach (CCO). Traditional Sunday school was often designed for church kids, but what about the children in our surrounding community? We have taken the historic step of taking children's church into the community. You will find us every Sunday morning at a venue near you. A community centre, a primary school or a youth hall. We will be there with qualified and dedicated staff to introduce your children to Fun Learning! Culture and Leisure
Christian Life City is more than a church; it is a family and a community. This department of our church organises a wide range of programmes, events and activities designed to promote fun and fellowship. The activities include socials, salsa, sports days, city breaks, keep fit, retreats and more… For information on up and coming events, see our calendar for 2006.

Worship Through Creative & Performing Arts
Worship is the heart beat of our ministry. It is an expression of gratitude and celebration towards the saviour who won our freedom. We believe that worship should be a total experience involving the total person; body, soul and spirit! For that reason we have developed a 1st class musical band, the very best in gospel singing liturgical dance teams and drama. These teams are growing all the time.

Deaf Awareness
Our entire service is signed by professional signers and a section is reserved at the front of the church so the hearing impaired can enjoy every moment of our services.

'Overcommers'
The senior members of our church are special and play an important role in our great vision. This initiative seeks to support our seniors on every level as well as to facilitate their remarkable contribution to our churches' mission and programmes.

Evangelism
Our mission is to transform our community through the gospel. We do this by first meeting needs within our community through our wide range of initiatives and then by presenting the gospel in language that people can understand. Our teams are well trained and are always equipped to support your search for Christ. Every Wednesday night our service is dedicated to 'seekers' who want to know more about the Christian faith.

Baby Dedications
Joint baby dedication services take place quarterly at CLC. Participating babies must be no older than 2 years. Parents must submit a baby dedication application to the general office no less than 30 days before the scheduled event, complete with a fee of £20.00 for bibles, certificates, refreshments and administration costs.

The Senior Pastor will not perform private dedications on Sundays. Private dedications are only possible during the week subject to the church calendar and pastoral availability. Non-church members may have their babies dedicated at CLC, so long as they are willing to have a Home Bible Study and attend one church service prior to the date

Weddings
Weddings performed by a member of the pastoral team at CLC will be subject to the following conditions:

1. That both parties complete a wedding application form complete with a personality profile.
2. That both parties complete a pre-marriage course with a member of the Pastoral team and all assigned work before the wedding.
3. That all fees are paid in full at least 60 days before the wedding. NB, if the wedding is cancelled with more than 30 days written notice; all monies will be refunded, less a 10% administration charge. If the wedding is cancelled with less than 30 days written notice all charges are non-refundable. The Pastoral team after thorough counseling, reserve the right to decline officiating a wedding on moral or biblical grounds.

For weddings performed by the Senior Pastor or an associate Pastor at another venue the same criteria applies less the facilities charge. Associate Pastors performing weddings will follow the same procedures as the Senior Pastor.

Funerals
Funeral services will be performed by the Senior Pastor or his associates for deceased church members or relatives of members subject to the following:

1. That the nearest of kin to the deceased sign a funeral application form and complete a questionnaire relating to the deceased.
2. Funeral services will not be performed at Christian Life City except under very special circumstances.
3. That the immediate family of the deceased makes all other arrangements i.e. venues, undertakers, flowers etc.
4. That fees are paid within 30 days of the event.

Finally the Senior Pastor reserves the right to refuse a funeral application on moral, biblical or any other grounds.

Counselling
Inevitably you will face tough times and difficult decisions. During these moments a little direction will help. With this in mind we have developed a counselling service for you. Please bear in mind that we will not provide a professional service involving psychiatry or any psychological issues. Our counselling is based solely on scripture for the purpose of giving direction. All counselling at CLC will be subject to the following conditions:

1. That a counseling application is completed and submitted to the general office. These are obtainable from the office or from the reception desk.
2. A counselling appointment with the Senior Pastor is only possible by referral from an associate Pastor.
3. Your application will be placed in a queuing system based on priorities.
4. You may be required to sign a counselling consent form prior to any counselling sessions.
