Why Life?
Because Christ died so that you can live! Not just in the here-after but also in the here and now! When you read the gospels, you will notice that Jesus improved the quality of life for people everywhere; healing the sick, casting out devils, cleansing lepers, feeding the hungry, forgiving sinners and raising the dead. If you let Christ into your life today, he will also begin to improve your own quality of living in meaningful and measurable ways.
The Bible is the most motivational and inspirational book ever written. It is an encoded handbook on success and a manual for personal development. Being at church sometimes sounds and feels like a motivational experience because the Bible is packed with principles, strategies and examples of personal and professional success. This is why so many of our members can testify that they got married, became home owners, acquired professional qualifications or became successful entrepreneurs as a result of regularly attending church.
Why a City?
The Old Testament land of Israel was filled with cities. Each of them had their own unique character, expertise and purpose. However, some of them were chosen by God to be super-special cities. They were called the 'cities of refuge.' These cities were safe havens for refugees fleeing persecution and sometimes execution. Once inside, the refugee was safe from danger and harm. They were further welcomed, supported and restored by a team of specialist priests whose job it was to care for those who had fled for refuge.
Our church is just like an Old Testament city of refuge. At Christian Life City, everyone is welcome and none are rejected. Life may have left you battered and bruised, things may have gone horribly wrong, you may even be at the end of your tether, but don't give up hope; with God all things are possible. At CLC you'll meet hundreds of people who felt the same way but are now experiencing the miracle of new life through the gospel of Jesus Christ.
